Xombie, the NFL, and Fantasy Football Radio

October is such a great time of year for sports. MLB playoffs wind down, the start of a fresh NHL season begins, NBA preseason starts up, and of course, the beloved NFL season begins to move full-steam ahead as week 7 approaches. If you love the NFL season as much as we do, then like most people these days, you probably participate in a fantasy football league of your own.

We're stoked to announce that FFToolbox, one of the leaders in fantasy football advice, has chosen Xombie to grace the opening and closing theme music to their weekly radio show hosted by the "Magic Man," Micah James! The show boasts an impressive 12,000 listeners each week by providing expert advice for managers who are looking to WIN big in their leagues.

With an impressive 6-0 record in his hardcore, 12-team league that consists of high scoring PPR and IDP, Atom Crews (lead vocalist for Xombie) says, "I've been doing fantasy football for about 13 years. To put it in perspective, I had Marshall Faulk on my team my first year. FFToolbox is the site I've been going to since day 1 and they're still the best for me to keep with up to date news and advice every single week."

Xombie's Capital X Gaining Traction

We're ecstatic to be been getting some great press and reviews lately on our new album Capital X! From small, mid-tier bloggers to national write-ups on The Source and Examiner, we're extremely grateful of our new, and (especially) OG supporters who have embraced our new album. If you haven't seen any reviews, below are a few notable links from bloggers and national publications. What are your thoughts on the album? Do you agree with what the reviewers are saying?

Or you can always scroll through the reviews by just Googling "Xombie Capital X"

The Source
"One of the hardest things to figure out in music is what is real and what is fake. What’s real is it’s hard to deny Xombie as they climb out of the unknown scene and make a name for themselves leading the revolution with Hip-Hop Hood Metal."

"Their album Capital X is one of the most creative and weighty recordings to emerge in some time." -Kyle Jarmon

From the emceeing, to the metal aspect of the band, Xombie has cranked everything up to 11. They’re loud, and they’re in your face, and those emotions are front and center on the album’s lead single, “Rock Bottom." -Adam Bernard

Metal Assault
"Aside from the 90s groups, new bands pop up every now and then with their interpretation of this type of sound. New York City’s Xombie is one such band, and their new album ‘Capital X’ is an honest, uninhibited effort to bring forth a fresh representation of the genre." -Andrew Bansal

"Front-man Atom Crews never comes across as an awkward suburbanite with his flow. His vocal styling remind me of a cross between Atmosphere and Mike Muir of Suicidal Tendencies. These guys can flow with the best of them and they look to have all the makings of starting their own wave of music." -Wil Cifer

Upcoming Shows in NYC, NJ and Philly!

As the summer comes to an end, Fall is an exciting time for us to play shows before the hypothermic cold sweeps in to leave nips so hard they could cut glass. After a HUGE and successful album release party last month, we're excited to announce 4 shows in the next month in NYC, NJ, and to Philly for a pre-Halloween show at one of our favorite venues, The Legendary Dobbs.

If you couldn't make it to the epic album release, add these to your calendar. Here's your chance to see us in the coming month if you're near or in NYC:
